Description
Cationorm is an emulsion formed by an aqueous phase and an oily phase. The main components of oily phase are mineral oils.
Cationorm with its advanced formulation not only restores moisture but also helps to prevent fluid loss.
Ordinary lubricant eye drops simply provide more moisture which can evaporate quickly from the ocular surface.
Indications/Uses
Cationorm is a hydrating and lubricating emulsion which protects the ocular surface and relieves the discomfort and irritation due to dry eye caused by prolonged use of contact lenses or environmental condition. Compatible w/ all kinds of contact lenses.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Directions for Use: Instill 1 or 2 drops as needed or according to the specialist's advice.
Wash the hands before using Cationorm.
When using Cationorm for the first time, hold the bottle tightly in the hand and firmly unscrew the cap to break the seal.
Before the first use, turn the bottle upside down and squeeze to release the first few drops to prime the bottle.
Do not touch anything with the tip of the bottle to avoid contamination of the emulsion.
Tilt the head backwards and hold the bottle above the eye. Gently pull down the lower eyelid and look up.
Do not touch the eye or eyelashes with the tip of the bottle.
Gently squeeze the bottle to administer 1 drop into the eye.
Following each administration, allow the bottle to return to its original shape.
Blink several times times to spread the drop over the eye.
Vigorously shake the bottle downwards to remove any remaining drops on the tip of the bottle.
Follow the previously mentioned last three instructions for dropping Cationorm also into the other eyes if needed.
Cationorm does not affect contact lenses quality.
Cationorm is compatible with all kind of contact lenses.
Please use under doctor's supervision.
Warnings
For ocular use only.
Do not use in case of specific hypersensitivity toward any of the constituents.
Do not swallow the solution.
If the patient concurrently uses other eyedrops, the patient should wait at least 5 minutes between the administrations of each successive eyedrop. It is recommended to use Cationorm last.
The product does not contain preservatives. Do not use Cationorm more than 3 months after first opening. The use of the bottle more than 3 months after the first opening exposes to a risk of infection.
Side Effects
In very rare cases, a transient discomfort such as: eye irritation, eye pain, foreign body sensation in the eye, eye redness, eye itching, watery eyes, burning sensation in the eye, temporarily blurred vision, eyelids inflammation or eyelids edema can appear. These symptoms are also part of typical symptoms of dry eye disease linked to the underlying existing medical conditions in the patient's eyes suffering from dry eye.
If the patient notices any side effects that are not listed as stated, please inform the doctor or pharmacist.
Storage
Do not store above 30°C.
